Exhibition "Tides of Light"
Eva Polak’s exhibition, “Tides of Light” is a visual exploration of the west coast of Auckland; a place of wild beauty and ancient spirituality. Each photograph was taken at different times of the day in different seasons, thus demonstrating the ever-changing quality of light and its effect on the subject matter.
Photographs of these natural transformations are able to convey subtle changes in a world where everything is constantly changing and disappearing into the past. By using simple colour and texture, Eva endeavours to capture the wonder and mystery of each passing moment and invites the viewer to reflect on its meaning for him or her self.
The exhibition opens Saturday 19th June 3pm and runs until July 8th
