Tell me a little bit about yourself. When did you start your photographic journey?

I started my photography journey about ten to twelve years ago with a point and shoot. I was taking snapshots when we were on our boat.

Why are you interested in abstract photography?

I am interested in Abstract Photography because I like finding the Essence of the subject. I enjoy the challenge. I do not travel to lots of different places so Abstract is perfect.

Was there any specific reason that you took this workshop?

I took this workshop so that I could further my knowledge and interest in Abstract Photography. I took an Abstract Class with Kim Ort and she recommended that we take a class with you if we wanted to go further with it.

What did you enjoy most about the workshop?

The challenge of finding the essence of the subject and expressing an emotion, feeling or idea is what I enjoy the most.

What was the biggest frustration?

My biggest frustration is figuring out what is considered Abstract and what is not.

What was the most significant thing that you learn from this workshop?

The most significant thing I learned was that even in Abstract Photography it is necessary to have a focal point and a variety of values.

What are your goals for the future?

My goal for the future is to practice what I have learned in the hope that my images will express a clear emotion, feeling or idea.

Thank you Eva! I learned a lot!
